Biotin-PEG-COOH (MW 5000) is a linear heterobifunctional PEG compound that includes biotin and carboxylic acid functional groups. The biotin moiety binds with high specificity and affinity to avidin and streptavidin. In the presence of a coupling agent, Biotin-PEG-COOH (MW 5000) can be used to biotinylate antibodies, proteins, and other macromolecules containing primary amines.
