Ganciclovir triphosphate disodium
Ganciclovir triphosphate (GCV-TP) disodium is a synthetic analog of 2'-deoxyguanosine known for its ability to inhibit the replication of human cytomegalovirus (CMV) . It works by binding to viral DNA polymerase, disrupting viral DNA synthesis, and is effective against CMV strains from humans, monkeys, rodents, and guinea pigs, with an IC50 of 0.01 μM. Additionally, Ganciclovir triphosphate disodium is utilized in gene-directed enzyme prodrug therapy for cancer inhibition.
