Lavofloxacin lactate
Lavofloxacin lactate ((-) -Ofloxacin lactate) is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent effective against various bacteria, either by killing them or inhibiting their growth. It binds to DNA rotase (DNA gyrase) and topoisomerase IV, thereby obstructing DNA replication and repair, which hinders bacterial proliferation. Lavofloxacin lactate is useful for studying bacterial resistance mechanisms, including research on resistance genes and mutations.
