RRD-251 is a specific small-molecule disruptor of the Rb-Raf-1 interaction. By blocking the physical binding between the Rb protein and Raf-1 kinase, it inhibits downstream cell cycle progression and survival signaling without affecting Rb-E2F1 binding. Research indicates that RRD-251 effectively induces apoptosis in various tumor cells, particularly metastatic melanoma, and demonstrates significant synergistic enhancement in combination chemotherapy studies.
