Antimalarial agent 51 (Compound 2) is an orally active antimalarial compound that inhibits the growth of Plasmodium parasites by blocking nutrient uptake through the Plasmodium Surface Anion Channel (PSAC) . This agent significantly restricts parasite growth under nutrient-limiting conditions and demonstrates enhanced effectiveness in combination with the residual transport inhibitor PRT-2. It is suitable for research on PSAC-targeting malaria.
