7-PPD
7-PPD is a substituted p-phenylenediamine (PPD) . It is toxic to the bacterium V. fisheri (EC50 = 0.8 mg/L) . This compound is also toxic to rats (LD50 = 2,100 mg/kg) . Formulations containing 7-PPD have been used as anti-odorants and polymer inhibitors in rubber.
