M-PEG-thiol (MW 350)
M-PEG-thiol (MW 350) can be used to modify thiolated DNA for the synthesis of gold nanorods (AuNR) . Using the mPEG-SH/Tween 20-assisted method (repeatedly replacing the CTAB on the AuNR surface with Tween 20 and mPEG-SH), thiolated DNA can be loaded onto AuNR. DNA AuNR has found widespread application in nanostructure assembly, gene therapy, biosensing, and drug delivery.
