Glycothiohexide α is a peptide antibiotic with potent activity against Gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium (VREF), exhibiting a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 0.03-0.06 μg/mL.
