Neobulgarone C is an anthraquinone derivative derived from the ascomycete fungus Neobulgaria pura HA A07-97. It effectively inhibits the formation of appressoria in the rice blast fungus and displays mild cytotoxicity, but lacks antifungal, antibacterial, or phytotoxic properties.
