Thienodolin
Thienodolin, an alkaloid discovered in S. albogriseolus, enhances root and shoot growth in rice seedlings at a concentration of 4 μM, but at 40 μM, it inhibits growth. It suppresses LPS-induced nitric oxide (NO) production with an IC50 of 17.2 μM, diminishes LPS-induced rises in inducible NO synthase (iNOS) levels, and hinders LPS-induced IκB degradation in RAW 264.7 macrophages.
