Mal-PEG5-NH-Boc is a PEG linker incorporating a maleimide group and a Boc-protected amine. The hydrophilic PEG spacer enhances its solubility in aqueous media. The protected amine group can be deprotected under acidic conditions. The maleimide group reacts with thiol groups to form a covalent bond.
