5-Amino-1-pentanol

5-Amino-1-pentanol is a linker compound containing both hydroxyl and amino groups. The hydroxyl group can be further derivatized or replaced by other reactive functional groups. Meanwhile, the amino group can react with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters, and carbonyls (ketones, aldehydes) among others.
