Methyl piperazine-2-carboxylate is a potent small-molecule activator of the METTL3/METTL14/WTAP methyltransferase complex. It is used in research to study m6A RNA methylation, having been shown to enhance m6A levels in HIV-1 RNA and increase viral p24 production in vitro.
