SYUIQ-5 is a G-quadruplex-binding ligand that stabilizes these structures, leading to telomeric damage via TRF2 displacement and induction of autophagy. It also suppresses c-myc promoter activity, making it a useful tool for studying senescence and cancer cell death mechanisms in vitro.
