DDC, Mouse (sf9, His)

The DDC protein plays a key role in neurotransmitter synthesis as it catalyzes the decarboxylation of L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) to produce dopamine and L-5-hydroxytryptophan to produce serotonin. These enzymatic reactions represent key steps in neurotransmitter biosynthesis and are essential for the normal functioning of the central nervous system.
