Autophagyinducer 7 (Compound SSA) is a dual autophagy and apoptosis inducer that functions by inhibiting the Akt/mTOR pathway. It also arrests the cell cycle at G0-G1 phase and suppresses DNA synthesis, demonstrating anti-proliferative effects in tumor cell studies both in vitro and in vivo.
