V-161 is a potent, orally bioavailable Na+-V-ATPase inhibitor (IC50 = 144 nM) effective against Enterococcus hirae and VRE (MIC = 4 μg/mL) . It has demonstrated in vivo efficacy by reducing VRE colonization in the mouse gastrointestinal tract, supporting its use in researching novel antimicrobial strategies.
