Autophagy agonist-1

Autophagyagonist-1 is a small molecule autophagy inducer with selective anticancer activity, showing potent cytotoxicity in HepG2 cells (IC50 8.8 μM) while sparing normal cells. It promotes autophagy and mitophagy via LC3 and PINK1 accumulation and induces G1/S cell cycle arrest by modulating CDK4, Cyclin D1, and p21, making it a useful research tool for studying autophagy-related pathways in cancer models.
