Bovine Protein C
Bovine Protein C is a zymogen that, upon activation by α-thrombin or the thrombin-thrombomodulin complex, yields Activated Protein C (APC) . This serine protease acts as a key anticoagulant by selectively degrading coagulation cofactors Va and VIIIa. It is a critical reagent for studying hemostasis and thrombosis pathways in both biochemical and cell-based assays.
