Altertoxin III
Altertoxin III is a mutagenic mycotoxin isolated from Alternaria alternata, known to induce frameshift mutations in Salmonella typhimurium strains TA98, TA100, and TA1537. It is used as a research tool in genetic toxicology, mycotoxin research, and for studying mutagenic mechanisms in both in vitro bacterial and mammalian cell systems.
