Myoglobin
Myoglobin is a small pigment protein composed of globin and heme (Heme), capable of reversibly binding with oxygen to form MbO2, known as oxy-myoglobin, while Mb refers to deoxy-myoglobin. Within muscle cells, myoglobin plays a role in the transport and storage of oxygen.
