Ferroptosis/apoptosis inducer-1 (compound 4d) is a dual inducer of apoptosis and ferroptosis. Ferroptosis/apoptosis inducer-1 induces apoptosis and ferroptosis by reducing mitochondrial membrane potential and downregulating GPX4. Ferroptosis/apoptosis inducer-1 can significantly inhibit the proliferation and metastasis of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) both in vitro and in vivo, playing an important role in cancer research[1].
