Magenta Phosphate (5-Bromo-6-chloro-3-indolyl phosphate p-toluidine) enables the visualization of alkaline phosphatase activity through generation of an insoluble magenta-colored precipitate. When used in combination with nitro blue tetrazolium, this system permits visual interpretation of experimental results.
