Cholesteryl n-butyrate
Cholesteryl n-butyrate is a cholesterol ester formed from two naturally occurring substances: cholesterol and butyric acid. It can be utilized in synthesizing solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) that inhibit the adhesion and migration of colon cancer cells, thus serving as a delivery system for the anticancer agent butyrate esters.
