Enterocin (Vulgamycin) is a Streptomyces-derived polyketide with proteolytic instability. It exhibits moderate antibacterial, anticancer, and herbicidal activities in vitro, and is also studied for its potential to inhibit β-amyloid aggregation in neurodegenerative disease research.
