Upamostat hydrogen sulfate
Upamostat (Mesupron, WX-671) is an orally active prodrug that is metabolized to the serine protease inhibitor WX-UK1, primarily targeting urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA) . Its antineoplastic and antimetastatic potential has been investigated in research involving in vitro cell-based assays and in vivo xenograft models for various cancers.
