Casopitant (GW679769) is an orally bioavailable neurokinin-1 (NK1) receptor antagonist investigated for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced (CINV) and postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) . Its efficacy has been studied in both in vitro receptor binding assays and in vivo animal models of emesis.
