Compound 1 is a potent small molecule anticancer agent that induces apoptosis and elevates ROS by inhibiting thioredoxin reductase. It demonstrates in vitro cytotoxicity against HeLa, PC-3, and A549 cell lines (IC50 0.08-3.5 μM) and suppresses tumor growth in mouse xenograft models.
