Anti-MRSA agent 20 (Compound a4) is a potent small-molecule ribosome inhibitor with an MIC <0.03125 μg/mL against MRSA, targeting the peptidyl transferase center to suppress toxin synthesis and division. In vivo, it reduces pulmonary bacterial load and mitigates lung injury in murine models (ED50=6.48 mg/kg), supporting its study in antibacterial mechanism and therapeutic development.
