ROS inducer 5 (compound 6e) is a pro-apoptotic agent that triggers intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation and nuclear fragmentation in cancer cells such as MCF-7, with an IC50 of 3.85 μM. It is a useful chemical tool for studying ROS-mediated cell death pathways in cancer research, applicable in both in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
