Heptelidic acid
Heptelidic acid, a sesquiterpenoid lactone from Aspergillus oryzae, is a selective GAPDH inhibitor. It suppresses etoposide-induced apoptosis by caspase downregulation and inhibits tau fibrillation. Research applications include studying its antitumor effects in models of extra-intestinal melanoma and its role in metabolic and neurodegenerative pathways.
