B-Phycoerythrin

B-Phycoerythrin (B-PE) is a phycobiliprotein pigment isolated from the red alga Porphyridium cruentum, with characteristic absorption peaks at 545 nm and 563 nm and a shoulder at 498 nm. It is widely utilized as a fluorescent label in flow cytometry, immunoassays, and in vivo imaging due to its high brightness and photostability.
