(R) -Ketoprofen
(R) -Ketoprofen is an orally active analgesic NSAID that, unlike its (S) -enantiomer, does not potentiate LPS-induced cytokines like TNF and IL-1 but can antagonize the anti-inflammatory effects of (S) -Ketoprofen. It is used in pharmacological research to study enantiomer-specific effects and COX inhibition in both in vitro and in vivo models of inflammation and pain.
