MPO-IN-8 is an orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of myeloperoxidase (MPO) . It effectively suppresses hypochlorous acid generation and NETosis in neutrophils, and has demonstrated in vivo efficacy in reducing inflammation, peroxidase activity, and IL-1β in a murine model of gouty arthritis.
