Anti-MRSA agent 18

Anti-MRSA agent 18 (E17) is a small-molecule inhibitor effective against S. aureus (MIC=2 μg/mL) and MRSA (MIC=4 μg/mL) . It disrupts bacterial membranes by targeting phosphatidylglycerol and cardiolipin, causing depolarization, increased ROS, and leakage of cellular contents. This mechanism supports its application in researching novel antimicrobial strategies in vitro.
