GPS1573 is a potent and selective non-competitive antagonist of the melanocortin 2 receptor (MC2R), inhibiting ACTH-stimulated signaling with an IC50 of 66 nM. Its high selectivity makes it a valuable research tool for studying MC2R function in models of Cushing's disease and adrenal disorders, applicable in both in vitro and in vivo experimental systems.
