Guaiacylglycerol-8-O-4'- (sinapyl alcohol) ether is a natural DGAT1 inhibitor (IC50 = 92.7 μM) isolated from Eleutherococcus senticosus. It is used in metabolic disease research, including studies on Type II diabetes and obesity, to investigate lipid metabolism in vitro.
