Philanthotoxin 74 (PhTx 74) diTFA is a selective AMPA receptor antagonist, potently inhibiting GluR3 and GluR1 subunits with IC50 values of 263 nM and 296 nM, respectively. This tool compound is used in vitro and in vivo to study excitatory synaptic transmission, neurotoxicity, and neurological disease mechanisms.
