AHL modulator-1
AHL modulator-1 (compound 12) is a dual-function small molecule that acts as both an agonist and antagonist of N-acyl homoserine lactone (AHL) quorum sensing. It demonstrated 21% agonism and 42% antagonism in cellulase assays, and 5% agonism with 32% antagonism in potato tuber assays, making it a valuable tool for studying microbial communication in vitro.
