β-Benzamide adenine dinucleotide is the bioactive metabolite of benzamide ribonucleoside, acting as a potent competitive inhibitor of both IMP dehydrogenase and human NAD kinase (Ki=90 μM) . This inhibitor is used in biochemical studies of nucleotide metabolism, including in vitro enzyme assays and research into immunosuppressive and anticancer mechanisms.
