α-Bulnesene is a sesquiterpene isolated from patchouli oil that acts as a platelet-activating factor (PAF) receptor antagonist with an IC50 of 17.62 μM. It inhibits both PAF and arachidonic acid-induced platelet aggregation in vitro, making it a useful research tool for studying inflammatory and thrombotic pathways.
