DB28 is a novel small molecule MR1 ligand that acts as a competitive antagonist, inhibiting MAIT cell activation by agonist ligands and reducing MR1 cell surface expression. It is a valuable research tool for studying MR1 antigen presentation and MAIT cell biology in both in vitro and in vivo immunological models.
