Fluopipamine
Fluopipamine is a potent CESA1 inhibitor (IC50 0.78 μM) that disrupts cellulose biosynthesis. It is used in plant biology research to study cellulose synthase complex trafficking and function, effectively reducing glucose incorporation and causing CESA hyperaccumulation at the plasma membrane in Arabidopsis.
