GB1490 is a small molecule, orally bioavailable inhibitor of galectin-1 (Kd = 0.4 μM) and galectin-3 (Kd = 2.7 μM) . It is a research tool for studying galectin function in fibrosis, cancer, and inflammation in both cellular assays and animal models.
