Genistein 7-sulfate

Genistein 7-sulfate is a major phase II metabolite of the soy isoflavone genistein. In vitro studies using MCF-7 breast cancer cells, it exhibits mixed estrogenic activity, antagonizing other estrogen agonists while stimulating cell proliferation at concentrations ≥10 μM. This compound is utilized in research on estrogen receptor signaling, phytochemical metabolism, and endocrine disruption.
