HPO-DAEE is a multi-functional small molecule that activates the Nrf2-ARE antioxidant pathway and inhibits histone deacetylase. It upregulates protective genes like HO-1 and extracellular SOD, and has shown protective effects in cellular models, such as against 6-hydroxydopamine-induced cytotoxicity.
