NIC-12 is a selective NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitor. It effectively lowers plasma IL-1β in LPS-challenged mice and suppresses NLRP3 activation in murine macrophages, making it a valuable tool for studying inflammation in both in vivo endotoxemia models and in vitro cellular assays.
