Amrubicin hydrochloride (SM-5887) is a synthetic anthracycline and potent topoisomerase II inhibitor used in cancer research. It is applied in studies of small cell lung cancer and other malignancies, demonstrating cytotoxic activity in both in vitro cell assays and in vivo animal models.
