(S) -Hydroxychloroquine sulfate, an isomer of hydroxychloroquine, inhibits insulin degradation in liver homogenates (2.5-20 mg/mL) from diabetic and non-diabetic rats in vitro. This research chemical is also applied in studies of malaria, rheumatoid arthritis, and systemic lupus erythematosus.
