Resinacein L is a small molecule α-glucosidase inhibitor (IC50 = 0.635 mM) that delays carbohydrate digestion. It is a useful research tool for studying postprandial hyperglycemia in biochemical assays and in metabolic disease models, both in vitro and in vivo.
